Designer Stefan Radinger converted an old four-sided farm in the Waldviertel for his family. He confidently combines old and new.
A classic four-sided farmhouse, consisting of a residential building, cowshed, pigsty and barn, built of stone, clay and straw. The old stone and mud walls were exposed as appreciation of the builders but also to show the handcraft of the 18th century.
He carefully combined the old elements with simple walls and doors made of solid oak panels, a concrete flooring in the basement but also for the kitchen worktop and as a basic element in the bathroom. For all the details he took black steel as additional material for staircase and several open shelves - but also details as various lightings were designed by him.
